BaseGroup is seeking a Communication Manager



As a Communication Manager, you play a vital role in our company visibility at international level. In contact with the creative teams, you create, design, plan and manage social media campaigns; you make sure our website is up-to-date with our latest content and you make our thought leadership and press-worthy content (such as articles, interviews, or talks) visible and engaging on all platforms. Ultimately, you make the Base brand stronger in everything you do.

The Communication Manager reports directly to the Partner in charge of visibility at Base Group level. She/He will be based in Brussels but travel to New York and Geneva might be sometimes needed.

  • Create engaging text, image, and video content for Base social media accounts.
  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around Base work, news or original content.
  • Measure web traffic and monitor SEO.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries.
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from customers and fans.
  • Develop an optimal posting schedule, considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics.
  • Oversee social media accounts’ layout.
  • Update our website and creating case stories in collaboration with the creative teams
  • Coordinate with PR and Communications team at BaseGroup level to ensure brand consistency.
  • Build external relationships with customers, potential customers, industry professionals, and journalists.
  • Build internal relationships with Base local creative teams to stay up-to-date with current work.
  • Overview content production (photography, motion graphics) made by third parties (photographers, …)
  • Attend industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology, design and culture trends.
  • Make sure the Base brand is reinforced with each and every action.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French and dutch are a plus).
  • Ability to play equally well with words and images. Animation skills is a plus.
  • Bachelor/Master in communication, visual communication, graphic design, motion or relevant fields.
  • Communicator (ability to listen to the creative team and to translate into impactful messages and images).
  • Proactive and autonomous (ability to propose ideas and to implement them).
  • Inclusive (ability to work with the creative team during the design/development phase).
  • Methodical (ability to follow and challenge the method, look for new ways and best practices).
  • Structured (ability to have a global understanding of a project from the challenges to the creative answer, taking in consideration the means allocated).
  • Organized (ability to juggle with multiple tasks/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail).
  • Excellent listening, creative and presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with social platforms, especially Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Cultural fit with the Base Design culture
