BaseNYC is seeking a Director of Community Management



Base is an international network of studios led by creatives. New York. Brussels. Geneva.

Base does Strategy + Branding + Digital.

  • Director of Community Management


  • Define vision and business plan for new Base community management department

  • Increase visibility for the Base brand by all (legal) means necessary

  • Expand Base’s reputation for developing iconic brands and creating cultural impact


  • Act as command central for all PR efforts for the group (NYC, Brussels, Geneva). Coordinate all activities between partners and select group of those involved in PR efforts. Set agenda, run weekly meetings, set weekly KPI’s, manage editorial and social calendars.
  • Drive visibility through community management including social media, newsletters, events, speaking engagements, podcasts, conferences, 4+1, and more. Set up tools & analytics (where appropriate), synthesize data, track efforts, issue reporting back to partners.
  • Drive thought leadership through the writing and editing of editorial.
  • Pitch press stories (mostly) to existing reporter relationships (mostly) within the industry (Co.Design, Creative Review, AdWeek, et al). Write press releases (in coordination with team) when necessary.
  • Meet with all three offices (frequency to be determined) to ensure equal representation between NYC, Brussels, and Geneva.

Evaluated upon

  • Increased visibility. Tangible (as measured by analytics, press hits, appearances at quality conferences) and intangible (buzz, increased organic new business inquiries).
  • Representation of Base as cultural ambassador vis-à-vis the outside world
  • Management of department. Vision, organization & rigor with which it is run
