AI & Digital Design Internship
Base Design Brussels is looking for an AI & Digital Design Intern
We’re looking for an intern interested in the intersection of design, AI, and technology. You’ll work alongside our team of strategists, designers and developers on a range of projects, contributing to brand identities, digital experiences, and experimental outputs.
This role focuses on how design is evolving through tools like AI, prompting, and creative coding. Not as an end in itself, but as a way to explore new forms of image-making, motion, and interaction.
The internship will take place from end of May/beginning of June until September/October. This is a position on-site in our studio in Brussels.
We’re open to different profiles, as long as there’s a clear interest in using technology and AI as part of a design process. You might be:
- Exploring prompting as a design tool, with a strong sense of visual direction
- Interested in how AI can shape images, video, identities, or narratives
- Working with motion and generative systems
- Curious about creative coding, interaction, or building small tools and experiments
- Moving between design and technology rather than choosing one
What matters most is not the tool, but how you use it. We’re looking for someone with a point of view, who sees AI as part of a broader design practice, not a shortcut.
Your profile:
- A design student or recent graduate with a strong portfolio
- Comfortable with tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, or alternatives
- Experience in AI tools (image, video, or code-based)
- Interest in combining branding with motion, systems, or interaction
- A critical mindset towards technology and its impact on design
Bonus points for:
- Experience with tools like After Effects, Cavalry, or similar
- Experience with prompting workflows or building with AI tools
- A clear personal direction or specific area of interest
