FAB004: Jordi Ruiz Cirera

For the 4th edition of Friends at Base (FAB), our invitation to connect with creative voices outside our usual orbit, we welcomed award-winning photographer Jordi Ruiz Cirera to our BaseGVA studio.

Originally from Barcelona and now based in Geneva, Jordi has spent the past 15 years documenting stories across the globe – balancing editorial, non-profit, and commercial work with long-term documentary projects that explore identity, migration, and the environment.

In an intimate session, he shared moments from this journey – where instinct guides the lens, and emotion shapes the frame. His storytelling is slow, precise, and grounded in the unseen: the spaces between people and place, memory and moment.
