Base Wins Int'l Competition to Brand KANAL-Centre Pompidou

Following an international competition, our Base Brussels team, in collaboration with partners Digizik and Kiosk Radio, has been selected to develop the brand strategy, identity and launch campaign for the upcoming KANAL-Centre Pompidou museum.

In our proposal, we’ve envisaged a place ‘beyond-a-museum’. An institutional, urban and collaborative project, where energies coalesce. A cultural ecosystem that thrives both within and beyond its confines, is radically engaged in its neighborhood and city, and consistently champions inclusivity in every interaction.

Spearheaded by the Brussels-Capital Region and leveraging a decade-long collaboration with Paris’ Centre Pompidou and the CIVA Foundation, KANAL aspires to reshape Brussels’ cultural landscape and redefine the concept of a museum for contemporary times.

The construction, led by the architectural consortium comprising noAarchitecten (Brussels), EM2N (Zurich), and Sergison Bates Architects (London), is scheduled to finish - and KANAL to open - in 2025.
